The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is the newest family member in the Raspberry Pi 3 range and is an evolution of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. It has a 64-bit quad core processor at 1.4GHz, dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2/BLE, faster Ethernet and PoE (Power over Ethernet) using a separately available PoE HAT.
With this model, the Foundation, has focused more on the use of the Raspberry Pi in end products where stability and availability is important. The new Model B+ has more copper for example, to run cooler. Also, the Raspberry Pi Foundation will keep the 3B+ available until at least January 2023.
Please note: Use the latest available version of Raspbian or NOOBS. When using an old or incompatible OS will cause the Raspberry Pi to stop at the rainbow screen. Also, the B+ is more power hungry and needs a stable power supply able to provide 2.5A.

The dual-band wireless LAN comes with modular compliance certification, allowing the board to be designed into end products with significantly reduced wireless LAN compliance testing, improving both cost and time to market.
The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ maintains the same form factor as the 3B for compatibility with existing accessories.
